Yazoo/Kees is a manufacturer of commercial mowing equipment, including zero-turn-radius and walk behind units. The company has an interesting history starting in 1874 as the F.D. Kees company. The Yazoo Power Equipment company started in 1935 under the name of Kerr Tire & Rubber. In 1997, Yazoo Power Equipment purchased the F.D. Kees company and the Yazoo/Kees Power Equipment Company was born.

In October, 1999, the Swedish-based Husqvarna division of Electrolux purchased Yazoo/Kees Power Equipment as the first member of the new \Husqvarna Turf Care Company\ and named Anders Berggren president of the Turf Care Group. In August, 2000, this group acquired BlueBird International to expand their product offerings.

Today, all Yazoo/Kees equipment is manufactured in its plant in Beatrice, Nebraska and employs over 150 employees. As of January, 2001, the plant has been expanded to approximately 170,000 square feet and nearly tripled the number of employees since the acquisition by Husqvarna. By the end of 2001, the product line grew from 16 to 59 models.
